21st April 2003 Windsurfing: S.Devon - Salcombe estuary Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: 3-4 Surf / Sea State: flat Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Max Speed: Distance Covered: Easter Bank Holiday Monday - launched from Millbay. Rigged up small 5m sail for wife + brother to try and learn basics. Quickly realised wind too strong+sail too big+small waves+Techno unsuitable for learners. Rigged up 8m and had fun blasting back and forth across the estuary. Waterstarts going well, staying dry on a few flarve gybes. Suffered lots of spinout, maybe due to smaller 40cm Fin. Stock 46cm fin lost in action on earlier mission! Approx 1 1/2 hours on water |
